Is that a butterfly on your face?

I was putting mascara on this morning, thinking wouldn’t it be nice if my eyes didn’t look like two holes burned in a blanket without this stuff? When we were in Paris last April, my husband and I strolled through Galleries Lafayette, gawking. It’s an unbelievable store.

I didn’t buy anything. I was too overwhelmed. But as the height of luxury, right smack in the middle under that gorgeous dome, was an eyelash bar. You stop, pick out the eyelashes you want, and presto…a couple hundred euros later, you have new eyelashes. (Temporarily, of course.) You know I live on the beach. Dressed up for us is flats instead of flip-flops. So I’m pretty sure I stared.
I probably pulled on Allen’s arm and pointed, too.
But the question I had is…seriously?

I know! It makes my eyes water just looking at that picture.

Besides, I’m too cheap to pay what they were asking for those eyelashes. It was cool, tho.
