First Sighting

I was so very uncool when my husband and I spotted these on the shelf at Walmart. I did refrain from stealing the intercom and announcing it to the whole store…but it was close. (See them right there in the middle on the end?)

Perfect! Love the cover! It makes it more real somehow, doesn’t it? I’m so happy for you!!!

Steph, that’s so exciting!! No wonder you took a picture. And such a huge display! I went to one of NZ’s main bookstore chains a couple of days ago, the head-office store, to check out the Harlequin shelves and they were tiny. In fact the whole Romance section was tiny. I was very disappointed!

Thanks, girls! We are lucky, Jackie, that the Harlequin department is huge at Walmart! At Borders, the LIS books are shelved individually with the inspirationals, so that makes them a little harder to find. I’d love it if they were shelved with the inspys but had their own little section!

Woot! Steph, how exciting for you, it’s a brilliant cover too. Hoping for fab sales and lots of happy readers!

    Steph,

That is a thing of beauty, suitable for framing!

My Barnes & Noble has a little section in the middle of the inspys for the Love Inspired books (I think maybe it was under S for Steeple Hill?). But they're displayed with the spines facing out — I like WalMart's way better!

Thanks so much for sharing this with me! It’s been pretty exciting…but then you know, yesterday was full of driving to a field trip with dd, a vet visit with CC, ds got early release at school, etc! It was back to back mom duty and I had stuff due to the editor for the January book… so reality has definitely set in, LOL!

Looks real good, Steph. I’ll try to remember when I go into the city on Wed to take a pic of your books in my local Walmart or somewhere. Might be fun, eh.

Cool! Author Jill Shalvis offers a copy of one of her backlist for people who send pics of her new books in stores when they first come out. Hmm, I don’t have a backlist! One day…

It’s okay, Steph. Your appearance on the Prairie Chicks Write Romance blog is thanks enough.

And, as an Honorary Prairie Chick, I’ll do everything I can to help your career even if it’s just taking a little ol’ pic.
