Spring Rites

We hit eighty degrees here on the northwest coast of Florida yesterday. Spring has definitely arrived. The snowbirds have mostly gone back to Canada and Wisconsin and Ohio (Indiana, Massachusetts, and Michigan). The vacationers have arrived. I’m sneezing. And I have put away my flannel pajama pants for the year. I don’t know why this makes me sad, but it does. They’re like old friends, I guess. Having been with me through the thick of the damp winter days, their multi-colored polka dots and bright pink satin bow cheered me when I pulled them out of the dryer…and put them on straightaway. Ah, polka-dotted pajama pants, I will miss you. Until next year.
