What a precious picture, Steph! I had a yellow duck (named Willie) when I was a kid - as a matter of fact I got him for Easter. Thanks for reminding me of a very fun memory!

Sounds like you have quite a bit of wildlife! We've got skunks, the neighborhood cat, and I think that's about it.

I'm torn between two reactions:

1) Your very own private Easter chicks, roaming free in their natural habitat? It can't get much better than that!

2) Duck-eating turtles? AAAAAAAACKK!!!!

Hope your feathered friends stay safe!

Betty,
I think a LOT of NW Florida had unexpected ponds last week! One thing I can say is that the frogs are very, very happy. Have you heard the chorus they've been singing at night? Wowza!

Thanks for getting the book!! And I'll definitely check out Barbara's blog. I'm always good for an hour of procrastination. :)

Terrie,
Where I grew up, we used to go all the time to the pond at the Museum of Art to feed the ducks and swan. The ducks were sweet, but the swans...look out! They would bite!

I love feeding them, too. They are adorable, especially these fuzzy little babies!

Sweet photo of ducks. I love to watch ducks or geeses.. We have them eveywhere in Fayetteville. I often go to Fayetteville Museum of arts, They have big poud.. I feed them with bread .. they can come up close to use to grap the bread. It is fun to watch and feed them. God creates them. They are precious animals
