I’m thinking, okay?

This morning my husband caught me half-asleep on the sofa. I was waiting for the coffee to get ready and thinking about the new book. When I told him I was thinking–definitely not sleeping–he said something along the lines of, “Oh, yeah, I always think with my eyes closed.”

Apparently this is something I do fairly frequently. I downloaded some pictures off the camera yesterday and found a picture on there that I had never seen before…but I’m pretty sure that I’m thinking.

Hey, my best thoughts seem to come when I sit still and close my eyes. I think it’s that I’ve shut down the distraction of the rest of the world which gives my brain a chance to focus on whatever problem I need to solve! My two cents. :-)

Hey, I do my BEST thinking right before I fall asleep. :)

LOL, my daughter looked at this one and said that Honey (the dog in the picture) must have an over-active brain because she’s apparently thinking with her eyes closed ALL the time!

I do actually like to rest and let my mind drift and seem to solve story problems that way occasionally. I think maybe it’s giving myself permission to get away from linear thought that brings out the creativity. It’s actually a win-win…because even if I don’t come up with a creative idea, I get a great nap!

Oh, I’m sorry that I always call when you’re thinking.
