Love-Hate Relationship

I love the summer. The beach is absolutely gorgeous. It stays daylight til well after seven. My kids are home. I get to fill the long days with anything and everything from coffee time to pool time to shopping to snowballs at my favorite beach place. But my favorite thing about summer is that friends and family from all over the place come to vacation where we live. And it’s a total blast getting to sit around after dinner and catch up, to go out on the boat, or just sit with our feet in the sand and chill (or actually bake is probably the more appropriate term, considering this is still Florida).
I also hate the summer. Hate the humidity, hate the heat. And really, really hate that it flies by and I have to wait a whole ‘nother year to have summer again.

We have friends who come and vacation in our town, too! We don't deal with too much humidity but we do have mosquitos that drive me nutso.

There are places around here where we have what I call "mutant mosquitoes," Jennifer. Fortunately, around my house we have a bajillion frogs and that seems to help with the mosquito problem, LOL!
So my advice…get a few hundred tadpoles!
