Me: Could you come unload the dishwasher, please?
16-y-o son: Hold on a just second while I spawn.

Me: Sorry if I’ve been a little cranky. Between my shoulder hurting and this deadline I’ve been feeling a little grumpy.
Daughter: Don’t forget you had PMS last week, too.
Me: Yeah, thanks. We wouldn’t want to forget that.

Exercise

One of our dogs, Honey, is a little porky. She’s not huge, just slightly overweight, kinda like me. Because unlike her sister, who is athletic and loves to run and jump and chase stuff, about the only thing Honey will run for is food. Also kind of like me. We try [...]

Glamorous Life of a Writer

So far today I have cleaned out the refrigerator, emptied the dishwasher, pulled the sheets off the bed and done forty-two loads of laundry. Now it all has to be put back where it belongs…after I reach my page count for the day, which at this rate might be midnight tonight.
